I love Jacob and Bella!

I the Twilight series. Totally. And I'm hooked on Jacob Black. And well, to borrow Edward Cullen's words, Jacob Black is "my brand of heroin."

Kirsten Stewart has been cast as Bella Swan in the movie version, Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen, but no word on who plays Jacob Black yet. I'm crushing on Jacob Black of New Moon and Eclipse anyway, and the Twilight Jacob would be young-ish, but yes, I guess I'm excited to see who'll play him in the film.

Whew, that was a really long sentence.

Anyway, here's a great fan-vid I stumbled upon in livejournal. It's a Jacob/Bella fan-vid, set to James Blunt's "Goodbye My Lover."

I love Ike Barinholtz!

I Ike Barinholtz!

He is sooooooooooooooooo funny. Too bad he no longer renewed his contract with MadTV. Why? Why? Why?!

I loved it when he did skits with Bobby Lee. They worked really well together! One of my favorites was when Ike visited Bobby Lee's family, and him having to sit through the family's Star Wars play. Good fun! Other favorite moments: Ike playing an Abercrombie model. Ike playing K-Fed (LOL). And lots more others.

Looking through IMDb, it looks like he has some movies coming up. This guy needs a big break, Hollywood! He's seriously funny!

And cute. :D

I love these 13 poems!

13 Poems That Have Touched My Heart
(With excerpts. Click on the title to view the full poem)

1. "i carry your heart with me" - e.e. cummings
i carry your heart with me(i carry it in
my heart)i am never without it(anywhere
i go you go,my dear; and whatever is done
by only me is your doing,my darling)

2. "I Wandered Lonely As A Cloud" - William Wordsworth
For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.

3. "The Road Not Taken" - Robert Frost
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth.

4. "Phenomenal Woman" - Maya Angelou
Pretty women wonder where my secret lies.
I'm not cute or built to suit a fashion model's size
But when I start to tell them,
They think I'm telling lies.
I say,
It's in the reach of my arms
The span of my hips,
The stride of my step,
The curl of my lips.
I'm a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That's me.

5. "Remember" - Christina Rosetti
Better by far you should forget and smile
Than that you should remember and be sad.

6. "Late Starter" - Charles Bukowski
I always became the best
at things when those things
no longer counted:
football, high-speed driving,
drinking, gambling, clowning,
debating, bullshitting, going
to jail, going crazy, lifting
weights, shadow boxing with
fate.

but I was alone.

7. "Invictus" - William Ernest Henley
It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.

8. "Prayer for a Journey" - Mattie Stepanek
Thank You, God,
For blessing me with the
Gift of Heartsongs,
So that I can enjoy my miracles.

9. "I Will Not Die An Unlived Life" - Dawna Markova
I will not die an unlived life.
I will not live in fear
of falling or catching fire.
I choose to inhabit my days,
to allow my living to open me,
to make me less afraid,
more accessible,
to loosen my heart
until it becomes a wing,
a torch, a promise.

10. "The Summer Day" - Mary Oliver
Tell me, what else should I have done?
Doesn’t everything die at last, and too soon?
Tell me, what is it you plan to do
with your one wild and precious life?

11. "Somewhere I have never travelled" - e.e. cummings
(i do not know what it is about you that closes
and opens;only something in me understands
the voice of your eyes is deeper than all roses)
nobody, not even the rain, has such small hands

12. A poem on truth - Todd Anderson's poem from the movie "Dead Poets Society"
"Truth, like, like a blanket that always leaves your feet cold."

13. "Weeping Willow" - Vada's poem from the movie "My Girl"
Weeping willow with your tears running down, why do you always weep and frown? Is it because he left you one day? Is it because he could not stay? On your branches he would swing, Do you long for the happiness that day would bring? He found shelter in your shade, he thought his laughter would never fade. Weeping willow stop your tears, for there is something to calm your fears. You think death has ripped you forever apart, but I know he'll always be in your heart.

(To better understand choice #13...)

I love berries!

I berries!

Mix these babies with cream and you've got dessert.

Mix them with yogurt and you've got breakfast or a healthy snack.

Or sprinkle them with honey or sugar to sweeten them up.

Better yet, enjoy them in their naked splendor and feast on their natural sweetness. They're healthy, full of antioxidants and delicious.

Berries are good for you!

I love Bubbly

I the song Bubbly.

I got hooked on it the first time I heard it on the radio. Since then, it's been the song that's been my LSS (Last Song Syndrome). Super love it. It's cozy, sweet and homey.

It's like a song that you whisper to your sweetheart while curled up together under a blanket, sharing a cup of cocoa with marshmallows. Or while you're both cozied up in a hammock by the beach. Super sweet song.

The artist's name is Colbie Caillat. This song of hers is called "Bubbly." Lyrics after the video.

Bubbly

Will you count me in?

Verse One:
I've been awake for a while now, you've got me
feeling like a child now, cause everytime I see
your bubbly face, I get the tingles in silly places.

Chorus:
It starts in my toes, and I crinkle my nose,
wherever it goes, I always know; that you make
me smile, please stay for awhile now, just take
your time, wherever you go.

Verse Two:
The rain is falling on my window pane, but we
are hiding in a safer place, undercovers stayen
safe and warm, you give me feelings that I
adore.

Chorus:
They start in my toes, make me crinkle my nose,
wherever it goes, I always know; that you make
me smile, please stay for awhile now, just take
your time, wherever you go.

Verse Three:
What am I gonna say? When you make me
feel this way? I just...mmmmm...

Chorus:
And it starts in my toes, makes me crinkle my
nose, wherever it goes, I always know; that
you make me smile, please stay for awhile now,
just take your time, wherever you go.

(Da Da Dun Da Da Dun Dun Da Da....)

Verse Four:
I've been asleep for awhile now, you tucked
me in just like a chile now, cause everytime
you hold me in your arms, im comfortable
enough to feel your warmth.

Chorus:
It starts in my soul, and I lose all control,
when you kiss my nose, the feeling shows,
cause you make me smile, baby just take
your time now, holding me tight.

Slowly singing:
Wherever, wherever, wherever you go.
Wherever, wherever, wherever, wherever,
you go. Ooh, wherever, you go, I always
know, cause you make me smile, even just
for awhile.

I love Pam & Jim

I Pam & Jim of The Office.

They're both playful (but not destructive), sweet (but not cloying) and talented (and are starting to shine in their own ways). I love how they interact with each other -- Pam in the reception area, Jim at his desk.

I enjoyed the tension a lot in Seasons 1-3. It was heartbreaking, with neither timing working out for them just right, but hey, it paid off in the end. I think. Let's see what happens when The Office goes back to production. Please give the writers what they want!!!

This video on YouTube is lovely, lovely, lovely. It's Pam and Jim from the earlier seasons, with the title of the song "Almost Lover" very fitting.

Your fingertips across my skin
The palm trees swaying in the wind
Images
You sang me Spanish lullabies
The sweetest sadness in your eyes
Clever trick

Well, I never want to see you unhappy
I thought you'd want the same for me

[Chorus]
Goodbye, my almost lover
Goodbye, my hopeless dream
I'm trying not to think about you
Can't you just let me be?
So long, my luckless romance
My back is turned on you
Should've known you'd bring me heartache
Almost lovers always do

We walked along a crowded street
You took my hand and danced with me
Images
And when you left, you kissed my lips
You told me you would never, ever forget
These images

Well, I'd never want to see you unhappy
I thought you'd want the same for me

[Chorus]
Goodbye, my almost lover
Goodbye, my hopeless dream
I'm trying not to think about you
Can't you just let me be?
So long, my luckless romance
My back is turned on you
Should've known you'd bring me heartache
Almost lovers always do

I cannot go to the ocean
I cannot drive the streets at night
I cannot wake up in the morning
Without you on my mind
So you're gone and I'm haunted
And I bet you are just fine

Did I make it that
Easy to walk right in and out
Of my life?

[Chorus]
Goodbye, my almost lover
Goodbye, my hopeless dream
I'm trying not to think about you
Can't you just let me be?
So long, my luckless romance
My back is turned on you
Should've known you'd bring me heartache
Almost lovers always do

I love feeling intoxicated

I feeling intoxicated.

The thrill of the first sip, the wave of warmth that follows, the inhibitions released. Oh I'm not alcoholic. I just know how to appreciate the call and the feel of a margarita or a glass of red wine.

The regret comes much later when you realize how much secrets are revealed. Alas, there really is truth in the wine.

I love the intoxication anyway, no matter how fleeting it is.

I love flip-flops

I flip-flops!

One of the perks of living in a tropical country -- you can wear flip-flops everyday. And with the many designs being sold by various brands (from the premium ones to the cheapy ones), there definitely is no shortage of these friendly footwear.

I wear my flip-flops everywhere, not for formal occasions of course. But if I can wear flip-flops wherever I can, I would. Oh wait, I already do.

I love coffee shop solitude

I going to a coffee shop alone.

No, I'm not anti-social. There are just moments that you'd like to share with nobody else but yourself.

Here are 13 reasons why I enjoy those solitary coffee shop moments.

1. I get to think without interruptions.
2. Contradicting that first point, I also like letting my mind wander aimlessly. I like sitting in my chair with that cup of coffee in my hands and just daydream.
3. I often write poetry when I'm in a coffee shop, and I'd rather do writing alone.
4. It's my escape from a crazy, crazy, crazy work day.
5. I'm at peace with the smell of roasted coffee beans. Aaaah.
6. Coffee shops are quiet. They're not busy like restaurants. I'm sure nobody would want to talk to me there anyway, so it's the perfect place for those "I want to be alone" moments.
7. I don't want to share my biscotti. One selfish point. Kidding! Not really. No.
8. I can read in peace!
9. I can people-watch subtly.
10. All the browns in the coffee shop center me. I love the color brown that's why. When I'm all frazzled, brown anchors me.
11. I enjoy the jazz music played. No talks to interrupt listening to the music.
12. I think coffee is very personal. It's not like alcohol that's best enjoyed with friends. Coffee is a very intimate drink to me.
13. I can leave when I want to. I'm not forced to leave because someone doesn't have a seat. Somehow there's always a seat waiting for you in a coffee shop. So welcoming, isn't it?

Yep, these are my 13 reasons why I my coffee shop solitude. And I'm off. I guess you know where I'm going now!

(Thursday Thirteen for Technorati)

I love striped socks

I striped socks.

They immediately lift my spirits up. They give me a kick. Even if I wear them under a pair of jeans, even if nobody else can see them, I love them. They're like my little happy secret.

I love Bobby Lee

Bobby Lee
I Bobby Lee.

He is HILARIOUS. MadTV is great, but Bobby Lee makes it greater. He does fantastic impersonations and sketches. A recent one I saw was him playing an Asian girl being hit on by John Cena. Geez, Bobby Lee was so funneh.

(John Cena is too, btw.)

Bobby Lee also takes his clothes off a lot in the show. It's like a trademark of his already. Once his characters start making threats, off come the shirt, the pants, even the tighty whiteys.

I also saw him on Kickin' It Old Skool. Funny too. I enjoy watching him do different impersonations and sketches more though. I haven't seen Harold and Kumar yet, so I gotta check out that movie just to see what BL did there.

Another thing I'd love to see? Bobby Lee and Steve Carell together. I wonder if they'd work well together! SHOWDOWN!

I love Before Sunrise

I the movie Before Sunrise.

It was near midnight. I had rented a laser disc (LASER DISC!!!!!!!) of this film because of Ethan Hawke the cutie and Julie Delpy the pretty. There was a party at home but I decided to lock myself in the den and watch this movie. With a White Russian in one hand and a brie-topped cracker in the other, I settled into my red beanbag and pressed PLAY.

Guy named Jesse meets girl named Celine on train. Conversation strikes. Stopover happens, somewhere in Vienna. Get off train together. More conversations -- deep, intellectual, funny, one over stolen wine. Talk, talk, talk. Walk, walk, walk. The more they talked and walked around, the more they started f a l l i n g without their knowing. It's a beautiful love story that unfolds slowly, subtly and then WHAM! The romance hits you in the gut and when the last scene fades out, the romance lingers. Do they or don't they? Did they or didn't they? Will they or will they not?

I love the film because it's hopeful. I love the story because it's real (it friggin' happens). I love what Celine said -- "I like to feel his eyes on me when I am not looking." Winner line there! I love how these two strangers started baring their souls to one another. It's been said that it's easier to talk to a stranger than it is to talk to a friend, right? Maybe not in all cases (who knows who that stranger will turn out to be) but yeah, in SOME cases, like this one, well... you just might find a kindred soul.

A stranger can be a soulmate waiting to be discovered.

I wanted to take another drink when the credits rolled. The folks outside the den were doing shots and going nuts, but I chose to take my liquor back to the den, back to my red beanbag, back to my thoughts on the romance between two strangers that happened before sunrise.
