My best friend from high school used to make me a lot of mix tapes. That was trumped by the mix tapes my first boyfriend gave me though. I wonder where those tapes are. They had pretty good music. The boyfriend's long gone, but the music stays. Long live rock and roll!

I remember wanting to color with my much younger cousin. There's something therapeutic about using crayons. Perhaps the smell of the wax takes me back to my childhood.

I love Invictus!

I ♥ the poem Invictus. The lines "I am the master of my fate, I am the captain of my soul" never fail to center me when I'm feeling disoriented with life.

I love The Big Bang Theory

Nerds unite! I ♥ "The Big Bang Theory." It's a TV show that revolves around the lives of super intelligent roommates and physicists Sheldon and Leonard, their pretty blonde neighbor Penny, and their two equally brainy friends Wolowitz and Raj. They could be the next Nobel Prize winners, but they still have to learn how to talk to a girl right and deal with everyday life just as "regular" people would.

I ♥ how their geeky jokes are relatable. That's a challenge, don't you think? I'm still finishing up on Season 1 but I already love it.

I ♥ Christmas accents! This was taken in my folks' powder room last year. I love it when they start highlighting the home with Christmas decor here and there. :)

I ♥ my husband's funny surprises when I get into the car. This was one of them. Buckle up, fellas!

I ♥ my blue bowl. I use it for cookies, soups, fruits, cereal, rice meals, yogurt, junkfood, chocolate, anything. Just the thought of cupping it in my hands already makes me feel better.

I ♥ this book.

It's written by advertising great Mary Wells Lawrence. She tells of her experiences in the ad industry, and gives us the stories behind her many successful ad campaigns. It's inspiring and insightful. Love it!
